Published: 12 October 2011
Following the success of their 2011 operation, Atlantic Holidays will be operating another ad hoc charter flight from Cardiff Airport to Madeira during summer 2012, giving South Wales passengers access to the Portuguese island from their local airport.
The flight will operate on 17 September 2012 and will be operated on a Monarch Airlines A320 aircraft.
Packages are available to book now, with prices starting from£549pp for 7 nights Bed and Breakfast in 3* Dom Pedro Garajau, or £809pp for 7 nights in 5* Pestana Casino Park, including a free upgrade to half board and a free room upgrade, saving £231pp.
The island of Madeira is of volcanic origin and boasts warm climates and rich agricultural resources. The island has something to offer everyone, from the wonderful parks and gardens to crystal clear seas and towering cliffs, and from rustic villages in quiet valleys to sheer mountains and amazing views.
Dino Toouli Sales & Marketing Manager said “We are delighted to include Cardiff Airport in our new regional flying programme for 2012. There is a strong link between the people of South Wales and the island of Madeira, which is why in 2011 this flight sold out. We advise customers wishing to visit the island in 2012 to book early to avoid disappointment”
Spencer Birns, Cardiff Airport’s head of air service development and commercial operations added: “We’re pleased to see Atlantic Holidays returning to Cardiff Airport and to South Wales in 2012 with another ad hoc flight to the beautiful island of Madeira.
We hope the services are a success in order to encourage the operator to expand their network from the Welsh capital, and to offer more flights to Madeira in future.”
