“With our operation to Cardiff, Helvetic continues to serve the rapidly growing city of Cardiff and its attractive vicinity. Visitors fascinated by cultural happenings, the attractive nature as well as sports lovers will fully enjoy the broad attractions on offer. During the upcoming Olympic Games 2012 travellers will appreciate the relaxed trip by entering Britain avoiding the busy London airports” says Bruno Jans, CEO of Helvetic Airways.
Spencer Birns, Cardiff Airport’s Head of Commercial Operations and Air Services Development commented: “We’re delighted with the announcement that Helvetic Airways will continue to operate the route to Zurich three times a week from Cardiff this summer.
The revised schedule caters well for businesses with links between the two cities, as well as for holidaymakers from Wales and Switzerland, as the new schedule enables both inbound and outbound leisure travellers to book weekend breaks in Cardiff and Zurich.
The extension of the service will build on the foundations established last year and will assist in attracting additional Swiss tourists to Wales, which will in turn benefit the Welsh economy.”
Tickets can be purchased via www.helvetic.com and go on sale today. All flights will be launched in the current GDS within the next days.
