Holidays 4 U Announcement
Published: 03 August 2011
The Tour Operator went into administration on Wednesday 3rd August 2011
The travel company Holidays 4 UK Limited trading as Holidays 4 U and Aegean Flights has ceased trading with immediate effect. The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) has stepped in to protect holidaymakers currently abroad.
Holidays 4 UK Limited sold charter flights and package holidays to Turkey under ATOL 4097 from airports around the UK. The CAA will be arranging repatriation for all customers in line with the scheduled end of their holiday.
Advice for Holidays 4 U customers who are currently on holiday
The CAA is working to ensure that all Holiday 4 U customers due to fly home as planned; they should therefore arrive at the airport in time to check-in for their flights home as normal. However, some flight changes may be necessary.
The CAA is working to ensure all protected customers who are on packages can stay in their accommodation until they are due to travel home. If customers are asked to pay again for accommodation, they should send a claim to the CAA on their return home so that a refund can be considered. Those customers protected under Holiday 4 U’s ATOL should receive a refund.
Customers who are due to travel
All holiday bookings are now cancelled. Customers are advised not to go to the airport as flights from the UK will not be operating or tickets will not be honoured.
Customers are advised to speak to their travel agent about making a claim under the ATOL Scheme. Travel agents may be able to book alternative holidays for their customers. Customer who booked just flights with a travel agent and separate holiday accommodation are advised to speak to their travel agent about their arrangements.
