FLYGLOBESPAN RENEW WALES DIRECT SERVICE TO THE SUNSHINE STATE NEXT SUMMER WITH FLIGHTS FROM ONLY £170 (INC TAXES)
Cardiff is to have a direct link to the sunshine state of Florida next summer thanks to the Scottish low fare airline flyglobespan.
The web-based airline plans to renew Wales' easy access route to the US holiday capital by launching a scheduled service from next May.
They will fly every Wednesday from Cardiff direct to Orlando Sanford - gateway to the sunshine, fantastic shopping and world class visitor attractions that Florida has to offer.
Flight only prices from Cardiff to Sanford start from only £170 per person, with fly drive deals from only £375 and villa holidays starting from only £425 - all inclusive of taxes
The airline also will also offer a Business Class service on the route with prices in this elite cabin available from only £699 per person, including taxes.
As one of the UK's leading holiday airlines, flyglobespan has a wealth of experience in catering for travellers to Florida.
They launched Scotland's first scheduled service to Florida with a Glasgow to Orlando Sanford route four years ago and have since taken over 150,000 tourists to the Sunshine State.
As Florida continues to attract thousands of British holidaymakers each year, the airline is convinced a direct service from Cardiff will prove popular with Welsh travellers.
"We are very excited about launching this route. It will give customers from Wales and beyond, the opportunity to enjoy a fast, efficient service to one of the world's top holiday destinations", says the company's Chief Executive Officer Rick Green.
"And, as is to be expected from flyglobespan, our flights and holidays to Florida will deliver the highest quality at great prices."
Spencer Birns, Head of Air Services Development at Cardiff Airport added; "It is great to see a direct Florida route back at Cardiff. Flyglobespan has realised the great opportunity which existed in serving the Welsh market and the strong demand in the region.
"We trust the Welsh market recognise the potential time and cost savings flying directly from Wales and fully support the service during 2010 to ensure its long term success.
"We will continue to work closely with flyglobespan and tourism partners to increase inbound visitors into Wales, with Cardiff Airport as the gateway to the country."
