The main function of the committee is to discuss, coordinate and evaluate the Cardiff Airport 'way of doing business'. In terms of the community strategy the committee will facilitate and agree community activity and charity initiatives organised by the charities themselves. It is not the job of the committee to devise and plan activity.
The Committee has been selected for the relevant skills, knowledge and experience.

Once an application has been received it will be assessed by the Touchdown Committee who will make a decision based upon the criteria outlined.
The Committee will inform the organisation whether the application has been successful but will not supply any reasons for non selection and will not enter into any discussions concerning its choice.
The chosen charities will liaise directly with the Touchdown Committee as to the fundraising activities to be undertaken in association with the airport.
